Using local AI models on a HomeLab
I previously wrote an article CI/CD with Gitea for HomeLab, which included some information about a local server for project needs. This server isn’t limited to CI/CD; I also use it to run local AI models.

In continuation of the article CI/CD with Gitea for HomeLab, we’ll look at an example of a method for remotely managing services deployed as Docker containers. It doesn’t always make sense to deploy “heavyweight” container orchestrators like K8S, K3S, Swarm, and the like. One alternative will be discussed.
I’ve rarely encountered Gitea as a DVCS + CI/CD solution; everyone usually uses GitLab. In fact, I tried using GitLab myself first, but I ran into problems almost immediately. Its main problem was its appetite for limited resources. So I had to look for alternatives, and Gitea turned out to be one of them.
